ELAINE M. BAILEY, PH.D.

Dr. Elaine Bailey, Ph.D., founder of EB Psychology and a clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Florida State University (FSU) Medical School, is a licensed psychologist specializing in forensic and clinical psychology with adults, children, adolescents, intimate partners, and families. Dr Bailey has consulted for prosecution and defense on 2000+ forensic cases in state and federal courts and 300+ military courts martial for the Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marines. She has testified on 100+ occasions. In addition to competency, sanity, mitigation, Miranda and other psycholegal evaluations, Dr. Bailey specializes in child abuse and child forensic interviews, intimate partner violence, memory and perception, alcohol and drug intoxication, sleep disorders including sexsomnia, coercion and control, aggression and assault, murder, risk assessment, sexual deviance, personality and mental health disorders.

Dr. Bailey earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at The University of Alabama and was licensed in 2000. Her training includes a one-year pre-doctoral APA-approved internship followed by a one-year post-doctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at The University of Alabama-Birmingham Medical Center, a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in forensic psychology, research on NIH funded grants that resulted in peer-reviewed publications, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology, and working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in psychiatric acute-care and long-term hospitals, a forensic hospital, substance abuse and detox units, medical facilities, prisons, jails, courts, and outpatient private practice.

SHANNON WRIGHT-JOHNSON, PH.D.

Dr. Shannon Wright-Johnson is a licensed psychologist who earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of South Carolina in 1992. She completed her doctoral internship at the University of Florida Counseling Center and a specialized post-doctoral fellowship in forensic psychology at the prestigious University of Massachusetts Medical School, Law and Psychiatry residency program, Worcester, Massachusetts, under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Grisso.

Dr. Wright-Johnson has managed psychological services in two maximum-security prisons and later served as Assistant Professor at two universities providing instruction and supervision to undergraduate and graduate psychology students. Since 2022, Dr. Wright-Johnson has consulted on 40+ military courts martial for the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines. Since 2001, Dr. Wright-Johnson has provided thousands of hours of evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to clinical and forensic populations and in family and state courts. Her specialty areas include child sexual abuse, intimate partner violence, sexual violence, alcohol, memory, and aggression.

PAIGE SPENCER, PSY.D.

Dr. Paige Spencer, licensed psychologist, earned her Psy.D. in clinical psychology at the Florida Institute of Technology in 2013. She completed a one-year internship at the VA Gulf Coast Healthcare System followed by a one-year post-doctoral fellowship in clinical psychology and a second year of post-doctoral mentoring in forensic psychology. She has served as an Adjunct Professor at Pensacola State College and provides professional training in the areas of addiction and trauma.

After 10 years of predominantly clinical focus providing thousands of hours of psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adults, children, adolescents, and families, Dr Spencer switched her predominant focus to forensic consulting for civilian and military courts in January 2023. Since then, she has consulted on over 30 courts martial, for both prosecution and defense, testifying in eight cases and producing declarations for the court in six other cases on topics including intimate partner violence, child sexual abuse, memory and suggestibility in adult and child witnesses, sexual violence and offending, mental health disorders, and drug and alcohol intoxication and blackout.

AMANDA MORGAN, PH.D.

Dr. Amanda Morgan Ph.D., licensed, forensic and clinical psychologist, Top Secret Security Clearance, brings 15+ years of psychological experience in clinical, forensic, and military-consultant roles to her forensic services. As a clinician, Dr Morgan has spent thousands of hours evaluating, diagnosing, and treating adults, intimate partners, and families in academic University and private practice settings. As a certified Florida Forensic Examiner, Dr Morgan has extensive experience administering forensic evaluations, consulting with attorneys, and testifying for the court. For over two years, Dr. Morgan also served as a contractor for the military as an embedded provider for Air Force Special Operations Command at Hurlburt Field. She served as the sole clinical psychologist for a Special Operations Wing, providing clinical care, consulting with Sexual Assault, Prevention and Response (SAPR) and Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program (ADAPT), conducting briefings to leadership, and consulting with command teams. Dr. Morgan provides expertise in sexual assault, intimate partner violence, child physical and sexual abuse, memory, trauma, alcohol intoxication, psychopathy, and mental health disorders/diagnosis.

Dr Morgan earned her Ph.D. in counseling psychology at Texas A&M University in 2009. Her training includes a one-year APA-approved internship at Appalachian State University Counseling and Psychological Services Center. She completed mentored forensic training at Psychological Associates and was certified as a Florida Forensic Examiner in 2015.

DANIEL PROTO, PH.D., ABPP

Dr. Daniel Proto is a licensed psychologist and board-certified neuropsychologist who earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Louisiana State University in 2012. He completed a one-year clinical internship at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB) Medical Center and Birmingham VA Medical Center training consortium, and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX. Dr. Proto obtained his board certification in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in 2018.

Dr. Proto worked and trained within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs providing clinical assessment and therapy services for 10 years prior to entering private practice. While with VA, he also served as the Director of Psychology Internship Training at the Joint Ambulatory Care Center (JACC). As a neuropsychologist, Dr. Proto has advanced training and expertise in assessing and understanding brain-behavior relationships and central nervous system functioning, including with respect to cognitive functions such as memory, attention, language, and perception. He has also trained in forensic facilities and state group homes and has participated in pre-trial competency evaluations and evaluations of competency restoration. Dr. Proto has performed thousands of clinical evaluations of military veterans and civilians and has extensive experience in the assessment and diagnosis of numerous psychological and neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, neurodegenerative diseases, neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorders, PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and personality disorders. Additionally, he has performed evaluations to assess various capacities, including medical decision making, financial management, and independent living. Dr. Proto has published peer-reviewed journal articles and performed research relating to various topics, including the assessment of validity and malingering, neurorehabilitation, psychogenic seizures, intellectual disability, substance use, and aging and cognition.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Proto has performed hundreds of independent medical examinations (IMEs) relating to psychological and neuropsychological conditions and injuries, such as PTSD, psychosis, personality disorders, and TBI, and has provided testimony on such evaluations. He is an approved neuropsychologist for the NFL concussion settlement program and is also a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) HIMS neuropsychologist.

JANE CLEVELAND, PSY.D.

Dr. Jane Cleveland, clinical and forensic psychologist licensed in Colorado, earned her doctorate in clinical psychology with a specialization in forensic psychology in 2002, completed her pre-doctoral internship training at the esteemed Harvard-affiliated family and juvenile law programs in Boston as well as the Federal Medical Center-Devens, and her post-doctoral fellowship at the prestigious University of Massachusetts Medical School's Psychiatry and Law Program.

In addition to her work with EB Psychology, Dr. Cleveland owns a private practice in Colorado where she provides clinical and forensic services for adults, children, adolescents and families. She also trains and supervises psychologists and other mental health professionals including graduate students in the psychology doctoral program at the University of Denver.  Her forensic experience includes hundreds of forensic cases in various legal settings including family, civil, state, federal, and military courts. Dr. Cleveland is experienced in diagnosing, evaluating, treating and forensic consultation in the areas of domestic violence; physical, sexual, emotional abuse and neglect; trauma and PTSD; juvenile offending, impulse control, and conduct disorder; sexual and violent offending and risk to reoffend; pornography and paraphilias; depression and mood disorders; anxiety and compulsive disorders; personality disorders; dissociative disorders; autism spectrum disorders; alcohol and drug intoxication and dependence; sleep, dreams, cognition, and memory; psychosis and schizophrenia, and psycho-legal constructs including competency, sanity, risk assessment, mitigation, and disputed confessions.
